Please note that Narrow Lane is to be closed either side of Number 50 on 22nd February, in order to allow Severn Trent to undertake works (again).

Diversion routes are available through both Wide Lane and Wide Street. Access to all other properties remains available.

Please be aware that we are due to start work to resurface the whole of the parking area outside of Hathern Park from Sunday 14th February. We kindly ask you not to park here from Saturday night as we will be fencing off this area on Sunday morning.

Derby Road - New 40mph Speed Limit

Derby Road - New 40mph Speed Limit

EFFECTIVE FRIDAY 5TH FEBRUARY:

You may have noticed that the road signs have already been changed. As of this Friday, 5th February, the speed limit on the A6 between Hathern and Warwick Way, Loughborough, is 40mph. This has been sealed into law by Leicestershire County Council under their powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Bins in the Village

Bins in the Village

We are increasingly seeing instances of people using the public waste bins to tip their domestic waste. These bins can't handle that amount of rubbish and is something that can lead to a fine.

Serco empty these bins twice a week but as you can see from the picture, it's taking less time than that to fill it.

In the interests of all allotment holders, and in view of the damage being caused to the track due to the current weather conditions, vehicles must not be driven onto this allotment site until further notice. The Council will review this situation when conditions improve.
