Hathern Parish Council has been advised to close Hathern Park.

This is not a decision we took lightly and we will review this going forward. The Main Park Entrance has been locked.

William Davis will also be closing the Daisy Bank Play Area.

Parish Council Meeting - 30th March - CANCELLED

Due to the closure of our venue, Hathern Village Hall, our Parish Council meeting scheduled for Monday 30th March will not go ahead.

We are awaiting information regarding local government and how we can continue to operate in a safe manner.

We will update in due course.

Charnwood Garden Waste & Waste Sites

A Statement from Charnwood Borough Council re Brown Bins:

With our waste partner Serco, we have decided to suspend garden waste collections from Monday, March 23 for a period of at least two weeks due to staff shortages resulting from the coronavirus.

Please do not put your bins out.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the following location: Wide Lane, Hathern (see attached plan). The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water safely undertake works on a new water connection.

Hathern Parish Council are inviting tenders for our Grounds Maintenance Contract and a Leics. County Council Verges Contract.

Police Update - September 2019

At Monday's Parish Council meeting, PC Richard Neville from Leicestershire Police provided an update on recent crime in the village.

There is currently a spate of car thefts, particularly involving cars with keyless entry. If you have a car with keyless ignition, please keep your keys away from the front door!

Please note that the play equipment within the fenced area of Hathern Park is being repainted on the week commencing 16th September. As such, the play area will be closed for that week.
